Frequently Asked QuestionsWhat discounts can I expect after becoming a member? When you become a member of AmeriPlan, there are many discounts to enjoy. You can see a comprehensive list of member benefits by going to the homepage and click on the Providers and Fee Schedule. This list can show you what services you can use and the benefits and discounts members enjoy. What is AmeriPlan USAŽ? AmeriPlan USAŽ is a Provider Access Organization, which means it is not an insurance company. The company provides all members access to medical, dental, vision, chiropractic, and pharmaceutical providers. However they do not file claims of any form. Instead, the company negotiates discounts with medical and dental providers, on behalf of its members. Can anyone qualify for a family plan or only spouses and children? Anyone who belongs to the same household can qualify for a family plan. This means it is not necessary that the people signing up for a family plan are related to each other. There are also no age restrictions. Am I able to utilize services in all states? Yes! If the healthcare service provider is a member of the AmeriPlan USAŽ network, you will qualify for discounts. What are the dental services discounts? With preventative work, members can get as much as 80% off of services performed by a general dentist. Members can get up to 65% off of restorative and cosmetic work (fillings, crowns, braces). There is a 25% discount on specialist fees. No. You do not sign a long term contract. How to I pay my member fees? AmeriPlanŽ memberships can be paid monthly, quarterly or annually. A 20% instant discount is applied if you pay annually. Do I have to pay a cancellation fee? How do I cancel? There is no cancellation fee. However, you must notify us 30 days before cancellation. How does AmeriPlanŽ select their service providers? AmeriPlan seeks out new members consistently. It also accepts referrals from other members. To be a member of the network, the provider must have an active license to practice in the State where he or she is located. In addition, the service provider must have professional liability insurance. Our companies researches and checks for these items regularly. Will I know I am really getting a dental discount? All AmeriPlanŽ members are given a sheet listing dental procedures and their corresponding Usual and Customary Fee (UCF). The list will detail the discounts given depending on the procedures. However, for some procedures details cannot be given. Are their visit limitations for the dentist or chiropractor? There are no limitations on visits. You can visit them anytime. Can I file a complaint against health care providers for lack of quality service or for fee disputes? Any concerns can be forwarded to the AmeriPlanŽ Customer Service. The Patient/Provider Liaison will help members with disputes on fees, quality of service and other concerns. The State Professional Board will also be contacted if the issue is not resolved. Will my membership fees go up after signing up? No! Your payments will be fixed for two years after signing up, with no chance of increase. Can I get a discount on Lasik surgery? Yes! You can get up to 55% discount on this procedure. Are mental health services part of my membership plan? Mental health is covered as well.
